Valley of Fire State Park is located south of Mesquite, Nevada and a place you will want to spend hours. This scenic area , true to its name, features red sandstone formations and strange shapes formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago.

Zion Canyon National Park in Utah offers the visitor a view of massive 2000 feet high cliffs that are separated by narrow hiking trails and river beds.

Snow Canyon State Park is located in nearby Ivins, Utah.  This beautiful drive thru park makes it accessible for everyone.  Paved walking paths along with accommodating rest areas and picnic sites make this a great stop.

Lake Mead, home of the Hoover Dam is the largest reservoir in the United States. It is located on the Colorado River about 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, in the states of Nevada and Arizona. Lake Mead offers many types of recreation to locals and visitors. Boating is the most popular. Additional activities include fishing, water skiing, swimming and sunbathing.

Gold Butte Back Country Byway originally established as a mining town in the early 1900s.  The byways offer views of petroglyphs, sand stone and great formations like the Virgin Valley mountains.  Close proximity to the Lake Mead National Recreation area makes this a great stop on a tour of the area.

Your scenic drives would not be complete without a trip to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The North Rim features the majestic virgin pine forests of the Kaibab Plateau and viewpoints that are 1200 feet higher than those of the South Rim.

Entertainment is just down the road with the Virgin River Casino, Casa Blanca Casino and Eureka Casino.  With live tables, slots, Bingo and live entertainment on the weekends there is something for everyone.  The Virgin River Casino is also equipped with a bowling alley and arcade for the kids. If you're looking for night life Mesquite offers a variety of bars and a night club. 

Whether you are looking for fast food or fine dining Mesquite has much to offer.  Chinese, Japanese, American, Mexican and Italian, whatever your heart desires. 

The City of Mesquite Recreation Center offers daily exercise classes, a full gym, indoor pool and golf simulator.

Heritage museum and Art gallery give a peak into life in the Virgin Valley.
